2 Years of Kicking Cancers Ass
On August 28th, I celebrated two years post-chemo. Two years of kicking cancers ass to the curb. Two years of suffering through side effects and living life anyway. What have I been doing in those 2 years…well, let’s see.
Obviously, NOT blogging. LOL!

I RAN my first 5K in 5 years.

I spent a week at Disneyland & Seaworld for Christmas, riding every ride possible. Twice.

I rolled with the neuropathy punches and migrated my business from photography to graphic design, custom apparel and vinyl decals.

I spent a long weekend on the beach with Bryan in Cali, hiking and kayaking and exploring.

I ran my first ever 10K distance, 1 year post chemo.

I bought a new truck, totally on my own.

I RAN A HALF MARATHON! On a brutal course at that.

I ran another 10K. And found out I really love that distance.

Then I ran a two man half marathon relay with a dear friend. So, basically another 10K.

I sold a house. Not completely on my own, but hey, it counts. :)

Climbed a mountain.

Ran my first trail race ever. It was pretty cool.

Got a new tattoo. Check back soonly for the inspiration behind it.

I jumped off the Stratosphere! How freakin’ awesome is that?!

Adopted one kitten.

Then another.

And ran another 5K.

I’ve also seen several Vegas shows, went to a concert or two, flown over 3800 miles, driven over 30,000 miles, and punched my husband (those military types will get what I’m saying). :) I’m also getting ready to head back to college in January!
All the while, holding down the fort and being the best wife and mom I can be.
Not too shabby for a cancer survivor, I don’t think.

Lacey, I am so glad that you are doing well. Congrats on going back to school .
Love this, love you, miss you!!!
Not too shabby indeed. I look forward to reading the continuing exploits of the Buchorn crew…running, jumping (off buildings), swimming and enjoying every glorious moment of life.
Wow!! Living a full life is the best. So happy to have been around for 2 of your races! Woohoo!! You rock xo
