Wow, this is eerie….since Friday’s F-15 crash in Missouri it has been SO quiet here. Eglin is mainly a F-15 base that has now went from flying TONS of sorties a day to only a few planes flying a day (A-10’s, F-16’s and Huey’s). I never thought I would miss them, but I guess after 8 years of non-stop planes flying over my house it has become a sense of security almost. Sigh….

I bet it is weird. I love the sound, we actually have a small AF contigent based here, so the jets are out flying from time to time.
