20 years. the end is drawing near.
7,305 days ago, this baby face made a commitment to his country and the United States Air Force.
I’m not sure he knew exactly what he was getting himself into 20 years ago, but he has never wavered in the dedication to see it through to retirement.
The last 20 years have brought about lots of changes.
8 permanent duty bases (1 twice)
1 deployment
too many TDYs to count
2 AFSC’s
7 promotions
2500-ish flight hours
3 college degrees (almost 4)
1 wife
1 miracle baby girl
3 countries
4 states
13 houses
His career has come full circle, ending at the same base that he started. How serendipitous is that?!
It’s been an adventure, that is for sure. While he can’t retire just yet (thanks to our EFMP orders), it is coming. VERY SOON. And to be honest, I’m a little scared. All I’ve known throughout our marriage is the AF life. What I do know for sure though, is that I could not be prouder of the person he is and the commitment he has.
Hooah!
