project 365: year 34
August 20, 2014
July 26 :: p365 :: year 34 day 271 :: I decided to share a Coke with my hubby today. Oh what, you didn’t know he’s really Jason?! At least according to strangers. :-)
July 27 :: p365 :: year 34 day 272 :: I LOVE monsoon season in the desert! Not as good as a coastal pre-hurricane storm, but close. :-)
July 28 :: p365 :: year 34 day 273 :: CT Scan number 963,458.
July 29 :: p365 :: year 34 day 274 :: Last selfie for 2.5 weeks, the munchkin is Texas bound!
July 30 :: p365 :: year 34 day 275 :: Round 5. Almost there.
July 31 :: p365 :: year 34 day 276 :: 15 years of love and taking our vows of “for better or worse and in sickness and in health” …literally.
August 1 :: p365 :: year 34 day 277 :: Chemo, round 5, day 3…the exact opposite of “fun”. A port that won’t cooperate and needs a 1.5″ needle because it keeps getting deeper and wiggling. Freezer burn from the numbing spray having to keep being reapplied every time they access. 4 bags of fluids and the evil bone pain, back spasm causing neulasta shot. One of those days I am really glad is over.
August 2 :: p365 :: year 34 day 278 :: Much needed today. Thanks dear friend.
August 3 :: p365 :: year 34 day 279 :: I’ve got nothing today. It was a feel like crud, don’t leave the couch kind of day.
August 4 :: p365 :: year 34 day 280 :: I have a love/hate relationship with monsoon season here in #vegas . Love the dreary, rainy days. Hate the road system that can’t take a tenth of an inch of rain. Bryan was trapped at work for over 2 hours before finally getting to go up and down the mountain, the long way to get home. On the bright side, at least he didn’t have to take the long LONG way home like last year.
August 5 :: p365 :: year 34 day 281 :: I finally left the house for the first time since Saturday. I might should have looked in the mirror first. Apparently I look as bad as I feel.
August 6 :: p365 :: year 34 day 282 :: This guy…he’s the bestest.
August 7 :: p365 :; year 34 day 283 :: I am so proud of my husband, but so very thankful that most painful event is over. The ceremony/banquet was lovely, some of our table company was not. Official image credit: Glover’s Photographics.
August 8 :: p365 :: year 34 day 284 :: Play ball!
August 9 :: p365 :: year 34 day 285 :: Today we took advantage of our last kid free Saturday that Bryan actually had off and had a date day. Lunch at a new fantastic Mexican food hole in the wall place, KISS mini golf, Pinball Hall of Fame, Starbucks and then a few groceries so we could finish up the night with steaks, peaches and mushrooms on the grill, a baked potato and a bottle of vino.
August 10 :: p365 :: year 34 day 286 :: Don’t you wish you were at my house tonight? Homemade shrimp fettuccini alfredo with a side of steamed broccoli and a glass of Chardonnay.
August 11 :: p365 :: year 34 day 287 :: Headed up to the mountain today to do some hiking. Over 3.5 miles roundtrip, 1000 foot elevation gain and rain. I wanted to die, barely a week post-chemo. Speaking Bryan’s love language and filling up that bank is worth it though.
August 12 :: p366 :: year 34 day 288 :: 3 miles in flip flops probably wasn’t my greatest idea ever….
August 13 :: p365 :: year 34 day 289 :: She’s back!
August 14 :: p365 :: year 34 day 290 :: Back to normal life, bright and early this morning.
August 15 :: p365 :: year 34 day 291 :: This stuff is da’bomb! It has been a totally crappy day and chocolate fixes everything, right?! Everything except my hips.
August 16 :: p365 :: year 34 day 292 :: My soul needs a break here. Soon. Before I lose my mind.
August 17 :: p365 :: year 34 day 293 :: Duck lips to the extreme. My daughter is such a dork…a little like her parents.
August 18 :: p365 :: year 34 day 294 :: One of the things I actually LOVE about #vegas …. the sunsets are absolutely amazing!
August 19 :: p365 :: year 34 day 295 :: Dessert for breakfast.
August 20 :: p365 :: year 34 day 296 :: Friends make the world a better place. They also reignite that longing to be back in the UK. Thank you.
