You know, living the AF life doesn’t always provide you with the opportunity to have family around or see them very often. Take my cousin for instance, we haven’t seen him since my Nanny’s funeral in January 2002…6.5 years! He has since graduated high school, graduated college, got commissioned into the AF and got married.

Sad, because he was always my favorite cousin too (don’t tell him I said that;-).

Tonight though, we got the rare chance to do dinner. He and his wife were here in the area for a few days before heading to their first AF adventure. We had a great time, even though I am sure that the restaurant staff was annoyed that we wouldn’t leave:-).

Now I just hope it won’t be another 6.5 years before I see them again!
