I could have sworn, just yesterday I was dropping her off for her first day of kindergarten and here she is, heading into 7th grade. You know the old adage, “time files the older you get”? Okay, maybe not…maybe that is just a Lacey-ism I came up with in my head. But, anyway, it’s true. The
June 16 :: Time for phase 2. My wallet is breathing a sigh of relief that these are already paid for this time around.
June 4 :: And just like that, she’s officially a 7th grader. These pictures are deceiving though, it doesn’t look like it, but she grew an inch this school year.
May 24 :: Jacey ran her first official 5k today and did amazing! Her goal was to win a medal and she did just that. With a time of 23:15, she came in 2nd in her age division (10-14), 6th of 81 in females and 21st of 171 overall! Her team, Swimmers for Soldiers also
May 21 :: One school year of viola down. She’s went from making my head throb to me actually stopping what I am doing to listen to her practice. It always amazes me how much she excels in pretty much anything when she puts her mind to it.
May 11 :: The one who calls me Mommy.
May 4 :: Two long but successful meet days and I am toast.
May 3 :: I spend more time at one of several competition pools in this city than I do at home between practices and meets. I hope Jacey realizes how much we love her and want her to succeed because I could be sleeping instead (we all know how much I love sleep). ;-)
