Relay for Life – recap

So, I am only a few weeks late….

*sigh*

There just aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week.

First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated, I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

RFL was a great experience. It was sort of surreal, to have register as a survivor, wear the purple shirt and walk in the survivor lap but it was also awe inspiring to see all the other faces in purple shirts and smiles.

We got there about 4:45pm and were there till 10:45pm-ish. Went home for a bit and then got back at 11:45pm-ish so Bryan could do Fear Factor at midnight. We stayed for the Mz. Relay pageant and then finally got home at 2:45am. We were then back up there at 10am and stayed through the end of closing ceremonies at noon.

Can you say exhausted:-)

Bryan came in first for fear factor (look for the video post coming soon) and Mr. John, Jacey’s lunchroom manager came in first for the Mz. Relay pageant. I ended up doing 19 laps, Bryan 16 and Jacey RAN 14 of her 17 total!

It was a wonderful time and will definitely be an annual occurrence for this household.
